Location
Beachfront is the best adjective to describe this hotel in Malaga. Hotel Catalonia Malaga is the only Catalonia-branded establishment in the city. In 2024, it changed hands from the Vincci hotel chain.
This hotel sits on the western seafront, with the long sandy La Misericordia beach opposite, with Malaga’s tallest chimney as the main landmark. And the Parque del Oeste is next door.
The city centre is some distance away – allow 30 minutes to reach Calle Larios and Malaga Port. You can also cycle along the seafront in about 15 minutes. If you don’t fancy the exercise, the No 40 bus takes you into the city centre and as far as La Malagueta.
