Tucked in one of the labyrinthine streets near Calle Andrés Pérez, Coeo Hernán Ruiz Hostel couldn’t be more central. The main monuments and museums are practically on your doorstep, while Malaga Port and La Malagueta beach is about 20 minutes’ walk.

You also have the vibrant Calle Carretería moments away, with good restaurants and cafés.

Pod dorms: If you don’t mind sharing, Coeo Hernan Ruiz Hostel has dorms sleeping 4, 6 or 8 people in pods. That said, the pods come with personal lockers, privacy curtains and reading lights. Some are women-only and all bathrooms are shared.

Single pods: the same as the accommodation in the shared dorms, but just for you. Bathrooms are shared, but we think this is an excellent budget option for solo travellers to Malaga.
