Malaga Fashion Week 2026

One of the biggest events in Malaga takes place in September – Malaga Fashion Week takes over Calle Larios. For two full evenings as local, Spanish and international fashion design struts its stuff along the longest catwalk in Europe, all 300 metres of it lined with stunning turquoise carpet.

Now in its 15th year and attracting big names on the fashion scene, Malaga Fashion Week is a must-see if you happen to be in the city during September.

Malaga Fashion Week 2026

This year’s event takes place at 8pm on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 September on Calle Larios, at 8pm.

There will be fashion shows on the catwalk on both evenings and all the shows will be streamed live via social media. 

The shows will put Malaga fashion in the spotlight and showcase its talent. Expect to see some beautifully-crafted outfits. On the catwalk, you’ll see a long line-up of evening dresses and suits, swimwear and bridal wear as well as other formal outfits.

How to get a seat for Malaga Fashion Week

There are no tickets for the event and unfortunately, there aren’t many spare seats. If you want to sit down for the fashion show, get to Calle Larios early (say 6pm) and grab your spot on one of the stone benches or on a free chair. Or reserve your standing spot behind the seats – if you’re just behind, you’ll have a good view.

Note that most chairs are reserved for designers, their groupies and press. Double-check your seat before you get settled down!

What to expect

You’ll see an impressive line-up of models, parading up and down Calle Larios. The evening start time means that the start of the fashion shows are bathed in golden light, while the later catwalk is at night, also magical.

What if you’re a model or a model agency and want to take part in Malaga Fashion Week?

We get numerous enquiries each year from individual models or agencies asking how to join the catwalk on Calle Larios. Unfortunately, we can’t help you with this as we have no part in the organisation of the shows.

However, we suggest that you contact the organisers of the event, Nueva Moda Producciones and ask them. Their contact details are at the bottom of the web page.

Highlights at Malaga Fashion Week 2019

Note that the rest of this blog post refers to Malaga Fashion Week in 2019. At Guide to Malaga we were lucky enough to have front-row seats for both occasions and so we got a close-up view of all the latest designs.

It includes our highlights and some pictures and videos of all that went on during the Larios Catwalk at Malaga Fashion Week in 2019. So, grab yourself a glass of wine, sit back and relax.

This year’s Pasarela Larios had several highlights for us. We loved the swishing designs by Susana Hidalgo – her finale bridal gown was one of our absolute favourites. As you can see in the video below, the model really “owned” the dress. 

Barbara and Nicole Kimpel (the latter aka Antonio Banderas’ partner) presented their debut collection. Silk and velvet featured heavily in long and short outfits with snappy accessories. Gemma Melé, a veteran on the Pasarela Larios presented her latest collection. Feathers, lace and veils took centre-stage here. 

Next up were Montesco, a local haute couture company whose designers Mario Camino and Carlos Aguirre received the Golden Pin 2019 (Alfiler de Oro) in recognition of their talent. Theirs was the most inclusive collections on the catwalk with 2 male models strutting their stuff. Pinks, blacks and whites, long gloves and amazing hair accessories were the signatures here. 

Most colourful 

Our vote for the most colourful collection goes to Antonia Galiano, another Malaga designer. Her models walked by in one gorgeous shade after another as they showed off Galiano’s formal and evening wear. 

Toreadors 

Another of the highlights came in Angel Palazuelos’ collection. He’s one of the most respected haute couture designers in Malaga and this year, his designs had a decidedly Carmen theme.

To the chords of Bizet’s “Toreador, toreador”, his models weaved their way down the catwalk dressed in bullfighters. The detail on the embroidered cloaks was exquisite and Palazuelo received the largest round of applause when he brought up the rear.
