La Deriva
On the western edge of the Soho district (handy for the street art or if you’re getting the CercanÃas to the airport), La Deriva offers excellent tapas and sharing plates in a modern, airy venue with funky ceilings. It’s famous for its ensaladilla rusa (Russian salad), some rate as the best in town, as well as its steak tartare and risotto. The restaurant also specialises in cheeses (over 50 types) and wine (over 200 on the list). There’s an outside terrace on the often busy street, but the palm trees are great for shade in the summer.
Tapas from €8, portions from €16.
