What’s on in Malaga this month

Yes! Malaga has events running all year round, from free outdoor concerts and art exhibitions to major festivals like Semana Santa and the Feria de Malaga. Even quieter months such as January and October have flamenco nights, markets and one-off cultural events worth checking before you travel.

Malaga Fair in mid-August is the city’s biggest annual celebration: a week of singing and dancing, fairground rides and street parties across the historic centre. Semana Santa (Holy Week) in spring is the other major event, with nightly processions through the city.

January and February tend to be the quietest, after the Christmas and Three Kings celebrations wrap up in early January. That said, Malaga Carnival livens things back up by mid-February. October is also a quiet month.
